Alone

Today I took the boys to Sacrament Meeting all by myself. Well, to all of church but they were in nursery for the rest of it. I have to admit to trepidation as I approached it, but the boys have matured quite a bit and it wasn't too bad. They were entertained by the people in front of us and behind us, so no worries. Poor neighboring people didn't get much out of church, but I'm sure they were blessed for helping! Nick has a Man Cold and had to go to bed.

I have a few major things to say today. First is that the boys are growing up too fast and are super cute. They have been really into building a "tower" with some blocks mom sent to me. (see the below picture). Reid is especially good at it. He moves things around based on size and will stack them all inside each other so they are in the right order to build the tower. Gage learned to somersault this week, and we've tried to video it several times but haven't gotten a good video yet and since he seems to believe it is a pre-bedtime activity its always too dark to see. But we will persevere and get a good video soon.

The other day Reid started walking around and clapping and saying "happy." Turns out he wanted to sing "If You're Happy and You Know It". Except they don't sing at all. But they clap and request "happy" all the time.

My second major thing is that I am so grateful for my parents. Really, it has become clear to me lately how wonderful they are and how blessed I am to have two people who are so stalwart and faithful to be my parents. I just know I can always count on them in a moment of crisis. Thanks, mom and dad. BTW, in my head that was way more eloquent, but its late and I'm tired.

Scott thinks I look like Gage when I was little. Perhaps my children will resemble yours? Interesting.

I love those books!

And the look on Reid's face when he's threatening to take off his diaper is precious.
