11 Months Since We Moved

Apparently blogger is only letting me post one video at a time right now, so I made up for it by putting up a super cute one of Dani. You may need to turn your volume up, as the audio is a little quiet.

You cannot tell me you have seen anything cuter than that. I don't believe you.

Since the video focuses on Dani, I'll tell a few short stories about her.

Almost everyday when I get home she dances in place, yells, "Daddy!" and rushes to hug me. Often she will follow that up by saying, "Daddy, will you snuggle me?" I'm sure you can guess my answer to that.

One time she set up a stool by the door and waited for me to get home for at least 10 minutes, which--for those of you who do not know her personality--is a fairly impressive time period.

She likes to call me on the phone while I am at work and ask me to come home to play with her.

She remembers names. She knew the names of all the cousins/aunts/uncles well before the boys did. She also remembers the names of all the kids in nursury, the neighbors (adults and kids), and of the guy who helps Nana do the gardening.

Yes...she is a little particle of heaven to me.

Switching topics, it is roughly 11 months since we packed up and moved across the country, so I thought I'd give a little update.
Moving was the right thing for us, and I am thankful to be here. The kids love it in Ohio. Grandparents, cousins, and friends make everyday a party to those little extroverts. It has been great for Janine and me to have family all around too. My job is going well, and I feel as though my career is on a good track with the opportunity to learn new things each day. Life is good and I feel blessed.
I also want to reiterate my thanks to those who helped us along the way, and to thank those of you who are still continually serving us. May God bless you.

Stolen Pictures Make the Best Posts

I just uploaded 15 adorable pictures from Mom's camera. Then blogger ate them. I will try again later, but for now let this deliciousness make you smile.

Of Cabbages and Kings...

Oh, hello blog.

I won't make excuses. You've heard them all anyway. I won't make promises, you've heard those too.

I will say it makes me sad that the boys early life is so much better documented than the girls.

On the other hand, the girls are enjoying much more alert and with it parents. So there's that.

To make up for my general lack of posting I've packed this with pictures. You're welcome.

Sabrina's cheeks are just incredibly kissable. They are soft and squishy and perfect. This squish-face thing happens to her a lot.

You can't see it in this picture, but the boys are sitting on the couch enthralled by Nick's video-game playing.  As was Sabrina.

Dani was watching tv & Sabrina looked like she was too. And it was cute.

Grandma & Uncle Ryan came to visit us for Spring break. And it was wonderful. The boys were counting down to the visit like it was Christmas.

Uncle Ryan was like a celebrity.

Peek-a-boo at the air force museum. Sabrina isn't much into airplanes.

The Belle dress Grandma Suzy made for Danica. She loooooves it :)

Gage was doing his camera shy thing for a couple days. I'm going to take more pictures of him this week so you guys can see how huge he is. Because apparently it IS possible to grow like crazy on a diet of hot dogs and copious amounts of peanut butter. Nick complains occasionally that neither of the boys looks a ton like him, but you only have to spend about two minutes with Gage before you can tell he's Nick's mini-me.

And that's what we've been up to. Someday (soon?) we're going to put an offer in on a house that we actually want to buy (we are a bit waffly about making a real decision apparently) and move. But until then we are still loving living with Nana and Granpa, and are so grateful for their love & kindness. Life is good and we are blessed.

Happy Easter!
