Danica has a cold

She's coughing. And everytime she coughs, her face crumples a bit and she gives me a sad look.

We are sad.

I'm supposed to be in bed

I bought the boys "easy" transformers toys, for kids 4+. Hasbro lied to me.

Pictures are not in order.

Goofballs:

At Grandma's

The boys picked out their "cake" design. We made sugar cookies instead of cake...Gage doesn't eat cake really.

Flashback to my birthday:

The toy that stole the show...(well, its more than meets the eye)

In Motion

I've been trying to get videos to upload for like a week. You'd think I would try a different method, but doing that would require more effort. I just keep trying this and failing.

Meanwhile..

I turned *ahem* a year older this week (you totally thought I was going to say my real age, didn't you). We went up to Nick's mom's and she made sure I had a fabulous birthday dinner and dessert. She also watched the kiddos a lot so I could have a nice day off. It was a really nice birthday.

The boys birthday is tomorrow. They might die of excitement before it gets here.

PS: I don't watch a lot of reality tv, but I have been watching So You Think You Can Dance and Next Food Network Star. May I say, KENT should've won. SYTYCD. But, Lauren is an amazing dancer, so whatever. But, the food network people totally picked my favorite to win NFNS. Yipee! Aarti! Indian food! I'm excited. I would love to make more Indian food.

Probably I'm the only one who cares about the above. Whatever. It looks like the video will work this time. See? Persistence pays off.

I like Gager's dancing style:
Did it work? It's not working for me yet. I've got lots of great videos to post...but they've got to work!

Just in case, a few stills:

To Whet your Appetite...

I made crepes yesterday. I'm trying to start new traditions in my house (many of you know about these). Sundays we have breakfast for dinner and Thursdays are pizza night. I like both a LOT because A) they simplify my grocery shopping and B) they don't have to be EXACTLY the same every week, which is why I always resisted weekly food nights before. Anyhow, Joel and Brittany flew in last night from their vacation, and it was their anniversary, and I wanted to do something a little better than normal. I happened to have some lime curd from an earlier craving, so...we had crepes with fresh fruit (strawberries, peaches), cream cheese mousse, lime curd, bananas, nutella...yogurt, honey...whatever. I actually skipped the nutella/banana combo to have THREE of the lime curd/strawberry/mousse ones. Mmmm. I'm making myself hungry. Anyhow, I was proud of myself because I'm not very experienced with crepes.

I've been in a crafty mood lately, which doesn't bode well for my to-do list. I've been making a few things for the boys bday, and I've been stalking blogs. Check out the clever tutorials on this blog. I think I'll end up making maybe half of these! But esp the baby legwarmers :)

So, occasionally after the boys do something I've asked them to, I'll say "excellent work, Iago" because I watched a lot of Aladdin when I was a kid. Then, the boy in question will give me a look and respond "I'm not Iago." For some reason, this cracks me up.

Scumbito. the boys word for mosquito, in case you missed it.

even with my new camera, she's pretty wiggly...

Give a Boy a Camera...

So, the other day I let the boys take pictures with the "old" camera. I may have some talented young photogs on my hands, eh? Okay, maybe not. But I had fun looking through them to see what a four-year-old (almost) thinks is worthy of a picture (answer: everything).

Have fun!
