Counting Down to Delivery

Well, we had two cars and a fridge die this month (all within two weeks actually), so it was not the cheapest month in our history. That said, we really appreciate everyone who helped us figure what to do about getting all these problems fixed. Your help significantly reduced the pain of getting all these machines operating again. Thank you so much!

In other news, Janine is tired of being pregnant and ready to have this baby. She caught a cold with a nasty cough, and between the coughing and the baby's constant kicking, she is proclaiming this pregnancy as far more painful than her pregnancy with the twins. I've heard that tough pregnancies have better babies. Let's hope that is true. With Janine being as miserable as she has been, this baby would have to be an angel to recover.

Countdown

We are on the four week countdown until the baby is born. The boys don't really know what this means for them, but Janine has been trying to help them figure it out (as you will see in the video).

In other news, we finally started trying to potty train the boys, though we aren't trying that hard yet. Mostly Janine is scared of having three kids in diapers, and I'm scared of paying for three kids in diapers.

Gage has been decorating himself.

Air Show

OK, so I had a video and several pictures uploaded, but for some reason blogger deleted everything but my first paragraph. ARGH. I am fully frustrated. But...I'll try again. Maybe.

Yesterday we went to the air show at Hill AFB. As we've mentioned, the boys are totally obsessed with airplanes. It was pretty fun, but totally exhausting. We went WAY too early due to some bad information from the lady at the information number. OH well, we still made it to the end and watched the Thunderbirds. At my insistence, true. Some things just have to be done.

We did have a moment I where I was worried Reid's airplane obsession might be at an end. See, we were quite close to an F-16 as it was turning on the engine, getting ready to head down the runway, etc. Reid was super excited for a bit (he makes me show him YouTube videos of airplanes taking off all the time, and generally loves the engines). But, all the sudden, he started sobbing, complaining about the noise. We moved away, but he was upset for a time. Then, when the FA-18s & F-16 (and a few other fighter types) were flying he wanted them to "turn off" the noise. But, when he realized we'd left he was really upset. Then, the first thing he did at home was go for the F-16 toy he's got. So, it didn't hurt his love for planes. Next time we'll go for earplugs.

Gage is less flashy about his love for planes, but he completely enjoyed himself. He cracks me up.

The boys were completely charming today. Just happy and hyper from about breakfast until they went to bed. Gage sat with us in sacrament for approx. 30 seconds before he bailed and sat with the people behind us. Reid sat with some of his two favorite "Grandmas" in the ward. Yep, they don't sit with us much. Usually just Reid visits, but today they both happy to leave. When they want to, they can be awfully charming...

A funny exchange I heard earlier this week:

Gage: I'm Spiderman!
Reid: I'm...Reid!
