"My back hurts, I need to do yoga"

(That's what Gage said, yesterday morning, before we left for church.)

Danica is convinced she doesn't need a nap. She's in her crib as I type, screaming about how insensetive and cruel I am. She's got quite a lot of emotional range in her crying. Right now, she's moaning, alternated with shrieks and half-sobs. Translated as, "I can't believe you've left me here so long, I am truly, truly disapointed in you." She may or may not have added a "you monster."

I've got the goose-egg pictures. Beware, they aren't pretty. Even looking at them I have the urge to take him back to the ER, just to be sure he's still okay. He is. As you can see from the video, he wasn't even upset very long.

Post goose egg black eyes:

THE GOOSE EGG (aka the "shower incident)

Danica has a passion for watermelon

I have a conflicted relationship with the show Glee. But I love, love the music

Reid is usually more animated while singing this song!

Gage...he cracks me up:

Twin Math

Yesterday.

Twin boys+tile shower+bottle of shampoo x slippery hilarity= one red-headed ER visit.

I should always go check when I hear them laughing so hard.

My conversation with Gage after Daddy took Reid to make sure the tennis-ball sized goose egg wasn't a serious problem:

Me: Why was that (spreading a bottle of shampoo all over the downstairs shower/bathroom) a no-no?

Gage: Well, we had lots of fun slurpering (sliping) all over until Reid got hurt.

Me: But Reid got very hurt. Sometimes things are no-nos because you could get hurt.

Gage: (totally unrepentant) but I didn't get hurt.

Pictures are coming. BTW, once assured he wasn't going to get a shot, Reid was all about going to the hospital. He loves to be the center of attention.

Bedtime

Gage made me laugh out loud tonight at bedtime. I sent the twins down to their room so I could get them ready for bed--I try not to go with them immediately because they move about as fast as potato sack when moving toward their beds and it drives me nuts. A minute later I went down to get them ready, and as usual they jumped out to surprise me when I entered the room.

Me: (Feigned surprise face on.) Whoa. You guys scared the heck out of me.
Gage: (Sincere face on.) Daddy. You don't like heck. That's why we scare you.

I assume he thinks I don't like heck because I'll say things like, "What the heck are you two doing?" He is right. I do not like heck.

Pickles

Neither of the boys likes pickles in their hamburgers, so I always take them out when we get burgers. Gage, though, has extrapolated "pickles" into "the yucky things we remove from food." So I was coring an apple for him, and I missed some. He came back to me a minute later, "Mommy, you left some pickle in here. Get the pickle out."

He's so funny.

Here are some of the pics we just got taken. I haven't photoshopped anything yet, but I probably will. Stay tuned.
