Zombie Crawling and Beyond

A couple of quick stories.

Dani: Stating matter-of-factly, "Mommy, I have girl eyeballs."
Janine: "Really? Why are they girl eyeballs?"
Dani: Pointing at her eyelashes, "Because they have sprinkles!"
Yes. Dani calls eyelashes sprinkles for some reason.
Yes. I know.

Another story.

Dani: Early in the morning, "Daddy, the boys are up."
Me: "Nope. They're not up."
Dani: "Yes they are. They are sneaking around like elephants."

Sabrina has several words on her tongue now. She'll say "Mama," "Dada," "hi" (she usually waves when she says this one), and what I'm pretty sure is "I love your face" with minor slurring. She, of course, understands a good deal more than that. Lately, since she has had a rough summer cold, she has been very happy to give snuggles, loves, smooches, and kisses when asked. She also has clap, toss, stop, and a several other words down.

Locomotion is also part of Sabrina's repertoire, though she is a little eccentric about it (see the video).

The baby has been doing this zombie crawl for months, making "Zombie-girl" a common nickname for her. Yesterday, however, she finally caught on to real crawling.

I love the clapping part, especially because it also has some eccentric flair.

July so far

I promise to blog more pictures with some actual text soon. I'm way behind...July 4th, the Kraus' visit, Danica's birthday...

But!

Sabrina is still zombie crawling,  but she can sit up by herself and pull herself up on things and do a pretty mean down-dog.
She also says "Mamamamama" when she's crying for me. She's pretty much perfect.

Danica is now three. I know. How did that happen?

Summer is so great.
