Even Though

I was busy (you know, watching the oscars and stuff--btw, good dresses this year. I muted all the acceptance speeches so I avoided the annoying parts. And, I love Hugh Jackman) and Nick was mucking around on the computer, he refused to blog last night. Personally, I think it has more to do with him wanting to read some of m scintillating writing than not wanting to blog. Right? Anyhow, I haven't even looked at the pictures from last week, but I'm sure something cute happened. I've been trying to keep the boys busy with more creative activities lately...to save my sanity. It works sort of. Some things are big hits, and other times I spend a bunch of time planning and getting stuff ready, then the boys aren't really that interested. Ah, life.
In naptime news, I decided that we would try in a much more low-key way this week. Meaning, I'm going to not stress. If I've had it, they can be in their room for an hour, and whatever they do is fine. Or they can nap. Or watch a movie. The point is, I get a break and I don't stress. Today they are napping. Go figure.
I think I'm going to take a quick power nap before they wake up, so that's about it for this week.

One of the creative entertainments that has not lived up to its promise. They don't want to run down and get the cars--they just stop playing when they run out of cars.

Big Boy Bed Problems!

We moved the boys to big boy beds because they had taken to climbing in and out of their cribs. Now they have decided they don't want to take naps for Janine. But, it isn't that they don't need their nap because they will still go to sleep if I put them to bed, or sometimes they will pass out if Janine turns on a movie. We have no idea why they sleep for me but not her. Help! We need advice. Those little men have to keep napping because Janine is pregnant and needs a break from those little terrors sometimes.

Hello 80's.

A Baby Girl!

We have a little girl! Obviously we are completely ecstatic. Not that we wouldn't have been happy with a little boy, but we were hoping for a girl. It just seemed like no little brother would be safe with the twins around, and Janine has been angling to put little pink dresses on a child--which could be a little awkward on a baby boy.

A preliminary blood test indicates the baby is at a higher risk for down syndrome at 1 chance in 90 instead of the normal risk at 1 chance in 700. Obviously the risk is still very low. The ultrasound also went well. Thankfully the baby looks very healthy.

Handsome in vests.

Mmmmm......delicious.
