So Big

The videos speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Isn't that to stinking cute. She has taken to snuggling her baby, along various stuffed animals and toys.

The first snowman video is better. This one is mostly down time, but I had to laugh at her adamant head shaking about singing and dancing some more.

A quick story about Reid.

Reid: "Mom, can I have one or two little candies from my Halloween bucket?"
Janine: "Sure. Were you guys good for Daddy this morning? Check with your dad."
Me: "Yeah. They were pretty good this morning."
Reid: "Dad, can I have two or three candies?"

You may have noticed the number of candies changed between Reid's first and second asking. Yes. It was intentional. He has developed a talent for being given an inch and getting a mile instead. He is a better salesman at six than I am currently.

Now a quick Gage story.

Gage and Reid do not roughhouse very often, but today they were wrestling and having fun. At one point Reid had Gage pinned down. This is how it played out.

Gage: "Hold on Reid. I'm thirsty."
Reid: "Yeah. I'm thirsty too," he says as he climbs off of Gage.
Gage: "Yaaghhh!" as he charges in to tackle the unsuspecting Reid.

Yes. They did dress themselves for bed, though I also regularly dress them like orphans.

ALSO:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SABRINA SUE!!!

She's ONE!

Where did this year go?

I'm not going to lie, I don't feel I used it as productively as Sabrina. She went from this:

to this:
and this:

and this:

She crawls, and climbs and is starting to talk and has definite OPINIONS thankyouverymuch. She is growly and funny and thinks she's as big as the boys and she loves her siblings and she wants to eat cake.

Like this one:
(it is a pumpkin-ish. This was the day after the election (which won't be spoken of on this blog, except to say it was a rough night for us) and I was very tired.

(I can't find the during-and-after cake pictures. She enjoyed it as both a food and shampoo. Maybe they are on Nick's phone).

In this month where we remember things we're grateful for, I am especially grateful for my sweet baby girl. She has been an utter joy. The easiest, nicest, sweetest baby I could've asked for. Almost enough to make you want more (almost).

Happy Birthday Sabrina!

And now. Halloween:

Pumpkin carving happened in a 45 minutes window post and emergency Target run for supplies before school on Halloween morning. Because I am very on top of things.

The point here is they are ALL CARVED. And Reid isn't wearing a shirt. But mostly that it happened, they got carved, and the kids were happy. I call a win.

The cousins. Piper was the hulk, Mason an ogre, Kerrin a viking, Gage was Thor, Reid was a Skylander elf guy, Livi a vampire, Nadia a kitty, Dani was Merrida & Sabrina was a witch. Whew!

Kerrin made hats for all the kids
 Gager's
Reid's. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he kinda looks like a teenager here.

And one more of these.
The baby is her bday present that Danica "shares" all the time. Sabrina LOVES it though. She bounces and hugs it does a happy dance. Honestly she couldn't be any cuter. Really.

Almost One

That's right. My baby is almost one year old. To celebrate her ridiculous cuteness, enjoy this moment I caught on video today. (You may need to turn your volume up to hear Janine talking to Sabrina as the clip starts.)

Yep. She loves me!

Blame the laundry

I'm waiting for you to recover. She really is that cute.

Better now?

Okay. Once again I've been a blogging slacker. It isn't my fault. It's all because...well, okay, it is a little my fault. I'd like to claim I've been super busy making my house perfect but we are moving pretty slowly on that front. Days like today, for example, I get the basics done but then...you know, let's just blame laundry. I mean, if it weren't for the mountains of laundry that is always demanding to be cleaned or folded or put away (shudder) then maybe I'd get something else done.

Or maybe not.

Anyway, here we are again. Sabrina is *almost* a year old. I know. How DID that happen?? She isn't walking yet, which is good/bad, but she climbs onto anything which will stand still for her (bad) and she has discovered she can express her opinion when she wants something. Which she does. Frequently.

And she is not very good at napping. Nope. She'll take one nap a day. And then she's done. If that one nap is in the morning? Fine. The rest of the day will be interesting.

Meanwhile, Gage and Reid are really enjoying school. Reid has a girlfriend on the bus, which shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone. She sits with him on the bus home and he "accidentally" kissed her on the lips the other day, but he swears he was aiming for her cheek.

Paul was home from his mission for a bit, had to have a surgery, but now he's better and back in Honduras. It was a super fun treat to see him.

Climbing things

More chair climbing. She loves little chairs.

Trunk or treat was the other night at church. Was super fun to have a costume dry run and to see everyone else's cute costumes.
Danica as Merrida.

The whole crew. Only Sabrina and Reid's costumes are homemade this year. Gage was loving being Thor and "lightning" people to death. I'm sure it was just the bad guys.l

Dani, Adra & Reid

Daddy and Sabrina. It was waaaay past her bedtime.

The Cutest Baby Ever

Escape!

The teeth. I know.
disclaimer: not actually cuter than our other children who were, in their time, also the cutest baby ever.

Sabrina is really cute. She loves to clap and climb and pretend she's as big as her siblings. She loves to sneak into places she's not allowed in and to play games. She waves her arms around all cute when music comes on. She's trying to learn words and Nick swears she said something like "I love you" the other day. She definitely shakes her head "no" and claims "Mom mom mom mom" and "Dadadadadad"

I'm going to be so sad when her grin isn't just two-teeth

We still don't have a kitchen table (its in the garage getting painted. Still.  When I take on projects sometimes I  forget I have a baby who can't be left alone). So one night Gage was sitting at the card table in the lawn chair that currently graces our kitchen & he accidentally knocked his plate of taco salad off the table. Sabrina went into full puppy mode and began to experience all sorts of new flavors. She was happy. I was...not quite as happy.

Driving Nana's jeep. This is before we moved? Oh yeah! We've moved! Wow, I'm behind on posts.
I think the rest of these pictures are pre-move. Eventually I'll take house pictures. But these are at Nana's:
Sink bath!

Birthday hugs! This was my birthday. I have cute kids.

We've been in our new house for about a month. WOW. Where does the time go? NO really. Where? Anyway, we are loving it. The boys are loving kindergarten. And they love having neighbors. Danica though is pretty sad because she had gotten used to all the attention and now she has only me for half the day, and then the boys want to go play with their friends and...she misses being at Nana's.

Meanwhile, with Sabrina's intrepid new mobility skills it is a good thing we moved when we did. Poor Nana's house would've soon resembled a war zone. Which is perfect for our house because I am unpacking at a turtle's pace and it kind of resembles a war zone anyway.

(except guys! I hung a curtain! In my living room. Yes, it is only one and the other window is still naked but I am getting there. I know.)

Sabrina is very proud of her ability to sit in a chair (note: this is our house! Woot! Also, I love how you can hear Hunger Games in the background)
Again, all impressed with herself. She doesn't do much in this video but you can experience the cuteness:

And, just for a moment, you get to see her arm-flail dance.

Note: don't pay attention to what it says at the bottom. This post was written by Janine. It is important, in arguments about who does what, that proper credit is given for blogging.

Catching Up

I'll throw up a few photos from the past few months that I have from my phone. Enjoy. :)

Dani being cute. Note sure where.
Gager getting ready to bat during his T-ball game.
The kids enjoying their balloon animals/swords while listening to Zak Morgan at the Thomas the Train Festival.
Dani's third birthday present opening.
That's just cute.
Gager at his gymnastics meet.
Whoa cute!
Now that is what America is all about. It was a happy 4th of July.
Handsome hairdo on Gager.
T-ball trophies!
Reid's gymnastic prowess has been revealed!
Redheaded frohawk. Awesome.
Reid lost his first tooth. He lost another soon there after. He spent the money on Skylanders.
