Again, our apologies for the late post. We were in Idaho over the weekend, and sadly, there was a hiccup in the internet service at Nick's mom's house. So, in spite of our good intentions, it is once again mid-week and we're just now posting.
The boys have been super cute this week. I feel like they are getting older everyday. They charmed their way into the hearts of everyone over the weekend. Reid especially took a liking to his cousin Taylor, showing his good taste.
They also finally decided to eat food again. They go through phases...it is not just being picky (which they always are to some extent) it is like they will eat food, or they won't, full-stop. So, we're in the positive, food-eating phase right now, and it makes me really happy.
Also, we are all pretty healthy right now. Lingering coughs, and a bit of running noses, but...cheerful and full of energy.
I have a question for all you blog readers. We do cooking classes at church once a month, and they want me to teach one...but I pretty much cook a variety of food from recipes, so I don't know what to teach. It's not like I have a specialty. So, if you've ever eaten over here or had me cook for you and particularly liked it, or have an idea of what I could cook, let me know. I'm at a loss. I would need about four different things all around a theme...hmmm....
We've got some super cute video this week. We probably won't get them all up tonight, but we'll try to add more through the week.
This first video is the traditional Easter egg hunt at Grandma Clayson's. Reid got right into it, but we unfortunately had a small situation with the camera and didn't get the video the first time. So we did a do-over and it worked out:

I cannot at the moment remember everything you make wonderfully, but I was particularly thinking of that squash soup you made. I loved that. Also wonderful was your cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving this year. I don't think I've ever had anything bad from you....its always fantastic! That bottom picture of Reid's crazy hair doesn't even look like the same kid!
Reid's hair brought in instant laugh out loud from Nana!! I love his bed head look or his hat head look. I just love his cute little red head! I miss those guys! They look like such little boys doing the Easter Egg hunt. Gage reminds me so much of Joel.
About your cooking class. I think you ought to do Aussie food and do the Pavlova, the squash soup and something curry. I agree with Carrie. Everything you made is great!
We really loved the rye and carroway rolls that you made for the BBQ when we came to visit. It was totally delicious. That would be our choice. The boys look like they had a great time at grandmas.
So I love Reid's hair and what an adorable pic of Gage. They are so cute and grown up!!! Ah, the little men, we miss them and you all so much!!!! You made multiple pasta dishes when we came to visit last time. I think there was a pumpking pasta and 2 others, all of which were excellent. Also the chili you make, you could do soups too!!! Love ya!!
Just seeing your family comments brings me back to days of sitting at your moms table eating dinner while Maribeth would sing nonstop and you and I would laugh and giggle the entire time! Meanwhile your mom and dad were just really annoyed! laurel was usually at dance, but we all did our fair share of swimming in the lake! Your family was always so good to me!

I can empathize with the eating phases. Julia is I think (knock on wood) finally coming out of a year-long one in which she'd only eat about 3 or 4 meals and maybe 5 snacks a week. Really. I know it sounds crazy, but really. She would go 3 days at a time with nothing but milk and juice.
Its so fun to see your boys growing up. They are so cute.
