Don't believe the author stuff, Nick's forsaken the blog

He swears he doesn't blog because I'm always on the computer, but really...he could find a way.

I don't actually have time to blog today, as I need to feed my kids and get to the gym in an hour. But...
I've been neglecting you, poor poor dears. I also haven't put the pictures on the computer since last time I blogged. BUT. I've been working on the scrapbook mom was supposed to get for Christmas (hi mom! It's coming...soon), so I'll just post a little teaser from that:

(only three pages. I don't want to spoil the whole surprise)

Up on the housetop

Christmas came! We survived! It was fun!

And whew, I'm actually happy to take the Christmas stuff down. Holidays are wonderful, but it is kinda nice to have everything get back to normal. At least, normal when we finish with this stinky flu bug.

Before the chaos commenced

Danica with her Santa present, in her Christmas PJs.

Pre-wake. Danica was up first.

Future Shopper.

Happy with Santa gear.

Outfit from Nana, hat from Grandma. Nice to be loved :)

In the pretty Christmas dress Grandma made

Gage likes to "be" things. So he got lots of costumes for Christmas. Sadly, they probably won't last that long, some of them already experiencing the inevitable runs that come with a nylon outfit. But, in the meantime, they are well loved. This is his Optimus Prime look. Totally reminds me of that scene in Toy Story 3 (another well-loved Christmas present) where Ken does all his modeling. Gage changes his clothes 3 + times a day.

"Minja" and bumblebee

Fierce. Bad guys better watch out at our house.
I wish I could say there is more coming. However, I'm not sure we took any more good pictures. I smell a New Year's resolution...

A few things to note:

  1. I am a little kid. Perhaps my matronly 31-year-old body fooled you into thinking I'm an adult? HaHA! Jokes on YOU! (or, erm, me?) I predict I'll have as hard a time sleeping Christmas Eve as the kiddos. I'm excited to give them their presents. Excited for the magic. Excited to yank out the hidden gifts. And especially excited for the gift Nick-the-amazing is giving me, because I really, really, really want it. thankyouthankyouthankyou.
  2. Me: Gage, can you go get me something?
    Gage: sure indeed
  3. Me: Danica, come here; Danica: otay (walks away in the other direction)
  4. Um, Gage said something else REALLY funny yesterday. I can't remember what it was, but imagine the funny. I'll fill this space with the real story when my brain restarts.
  5. The 2nd batch of Christmas cards has not yet gone out. Never fear! They'll be addressed tonight.
