Catching Up

I know we are way behind on everything, so I am going to try and catch up on everything we have missed in one ridiculously huge post.

First item on the agenda, my little girl turned two.

The cute dress Grandma Suzy sent her.

Dani has had some great one-liners lately. I swear we have not taught her these things, and I don't know where she comes up with them. Here are a few examples.

Me: Come here baby.
Dani: No, sweetheart.

Dani (at bedtime): Where are we going tomorrow?
Me (at bedtime): Tomorrow is Sunday. We are going to church.
Dani (at bedtime): Daddy. Get me my Sunday shoes from the drawer.
Me (at bedtime): I'll get them for you tommorow.
Dani (8:00 AM and still in her crib. These are the first words from her mouth when I wake her.) Daddy, get my shoes from the drawer.

Dani (after getting dressed in a long-sleeved shirt with a flower pattern on the arms): Look! Pretty arms.

Dani: Gager Jacob Clayson! (growling) Don't ever.

Dani (at bedtime): I want a bandaid. (Her leg has a little scratch on it.)
Janine (at bedtime): I'll get you a new one in the morning.
Dani (at 5:00 AM): Mommy! I want a bandaid.
Janine (at 5:00 AM after staggering into Dani's room): I'll get you a bandaid when you wake up in the morning.
Dani (at 5:00 AM): I've slept a little.

This face looks like a Calvin and Hobbes face.

I do have some stories about the boys too. Here is a good Reid memory.

Reid (looking at me while laying on the futon in the sunroom and yelling) Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! DADDY!
Me: I was in the keeping room looking through the glass at Reid, so I waved for him to come through the door to talk to me.
Reid (still staring at me from the other room and shouting): Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!
Me (waving again to Reid to come to me and yelling): Come here to talk to me.
Reid (for literally 5 minutes straight): DADDY!
No I cannot remember what he wanted, but he got an earful about getting off his little behind and coming to me if he wants something. My lecture was not well recieved, however, as evidenced by the fact that he was yelling for Janine across the house this moring while she and everyone else were still asleep. *sigh*

The boys after catching a frog.

We have made several awesome trips to various Air Force related events/locations.

Reid playing pilot.

Gager sporting the Spongebob.

Dani and Piper being cute.

After the airshow. Yes. I do have white legs.

Dani staying out of the sun at the airshow.

Waiting for the Thunderbirds to fly.

The boys had an excellent Chuck-E-Cheese birthday party this year. No. Chuck was not there. You know I am way to cheap to pay for that kind of rubbish.

Janine's cool snake cake she made for the twins.

Gage loves Bakugan.

They had a great time.

Look at all the family that was there for the party.

Paul is on his way to Honduras soon. This picture was taken days before he went into the MTC. The kids will really miss him.

We have gone to a couple of little festivals lately, and they have been great fun. At the Piqua Festival, I liked the juggling show best, but I won't lengthen this post with the videos of it.

Gage is very unsure of this animal man at the Piqua Historic Festival.

Reid loved the pony ride.

So did Dani.

The "train ride."

Here is a story for Gage. I usually cut Gage's hair with a normal "boy cut," but the other day I decided to buzz him completely.
Gage (looking in the mirror after his hair was all gone): I don't want Mommy to see it. (He covered his head with his hands.)
Me: Why bud?
Gage: I don't know...will it grow back?
Me: Yes, it will grow back.
Gage: Are you sure?
Me: Yes. It will grow back in a couple of weeks.
Gage: But Grandpa's hair didn't grow back.
Me: Well, your hair will grow back in a couple of weeks.
Gage (covering his head with his hands again): I don't want Reid to see it.No. Janine was not happy with me, and she has forbidden me to ever buzz his head again. Gage has decided he likes it because it seems to get him as much attention for his lack of hair as Reid gets for his red head. Now the twins chase each other around trying to rub each others heads, with Reid yelling "buzz head!" and Gage shouting "carrot top!"
 Gage sporting his new hairdo.

I know I don't have anything on Janine's birthday in here. I have to find the pictures for it still. Hopefully this extensive post will satisfy our absence for the time being. :)

haha! Love it! I'm glad Joel & I have been able to join in on a majority of this family fun! And oh, may I let it me known here & throughout all the world that I, Brittany (in Gage's words: Silly Aunt Brittany), was the one to teach Gager to call Reid "CARROT TOP"!!! Aren't I the best Aunt ever? haha!
