And We Return...

Well, we're back. I suppose you're wondering where we've been. See, the story goes like this: when we had the idea to start a blog, before the twins were born, a family blog site wasn't the ubiquitous rite of passage it has become. We were worried that it would confuse people to have .blogspot in the address. We wanted our friends and family to be able to look us up anywhere. So, we "hired" (in a non-monetary, mooching sort of way) Nick's brother Cody to fix it all up for us. That's how losclaysons was born. Except, the rest of the world caught up to us almost before we finished making our masterpiece. Three years later, we got tired of posting to an FTP server, and paying for a domain name, when blogger made everything so easy and free. There was only one little hitch: what if we lost our blog trying to switch??? Three years of weekly memories gone???

Don't worry.

Nick (and Cody) spent tons of time researching how to save the blog, then Nick spent at least thirty + hours linking videos that had been lost (blast you videoegg!) and making sure everything saved neatly. So although you don't see the three years of pictures on this blog that you are used to seeing, rest assured they reside safely on our hard drive. It is my fondest (OK, not my fondest) wish that we'll figure out how to merge it all back together someday. In the meantime, we're back to weekly posts for your enjoyment.

One last thing.

You may have noticed, we've changed our address. Yep, our original complaint, that people wouldn't be able to remember the .blogspot part, isn't really relevant in this day and age. We're still toying with using a custom domain, say theclaysons or even losclaysons again when it comes available (funny story about how we "own" it but can't quite get it where we want)...or even something snarky and clever if our brains ever recover from having kids (so we're probably looking for suggestions). Or, we'll just leave it at losclaysons.blogspot.com. What do you think, oh esteemed reader? Should we go again for the simple custom domain, sans blogspot, or does it even matter because everyone just adds us to a link on their own blog anyway?

In the meantime...what you missed:

August by the numbers:
1 visit to the ER (Gage, broken collar bone)
2 visits to the Pediatrician (Danica dear)
1 visit to the fracture clinic (see above)
1 visit to the OB (thrush--I got to share this little joy of an infection with Danica. It was a bonding thing.)
5+ visits to the Target Pharmacy (see above)
1 visit to Urgent Care (Nick, massive sinus infection)
3 birthdays (Reid, Gage & Mommy)
14+ days of visits (we love you guys)
2 very tired parents...

These pictures are NOT in order...
Danica's first day of church...not boring so much as...tiring.

Piper & Laurel came to visit...Piper was a big hit!

Reid, adding color to our lives and loving his sister...
Gage LOVES his sister. When she cries, he tells me she wants "her Gager"

I'm slightly embarrassed by this cake, but whatever...

Just a sample of the loot
I can't figure out the videos right this second, so I'll save that for later...
This will say Nick posted it, but clearly not..

Hope you are all feeling better! I hope I wasn't the one who passed anything along to you guys, though I did not have a sinus infection, but you never know! Things morph! Let me know if you guys need anything else, I am always available, just tend to keep myself locked in the house for no good reason! Love all the pictures! And can't wait to get to actually hold Danica- so jealous of Brian! Love you guys!

So glad you're back! I love the pics and Danica is beautiful. Please don't be embarrassed by the cake, everyone else seeing it is amazed that you even made one, especially given what's been going on at your house.
